Boba Explosiva de Maracuyá
Passion Fruit Popping Boba are spherical gel beads filled with real passion fruit juice, produced using sodium alginate encapsulation (the same technique used in molecular gastronomy). Each bead bursts on contact with the tongue, releasing a bright, tangy-sweet passion fruit flavour.
Maracuyá (passion fruit) is already one of the most consumed tropical fruits across Latin America — Brazilians, Colombians, Mexicans and Peruvians already know and love this flavour. Popping boba brings it into the modern beverage format, dramatically lowering the barrier to first-time boba consumption.
Add 40–60g (approximately 2 tablespoons) per drink as a topping. Serve on top of the drink — do not blend or heat, as heat destroys the gel membrane and causes the beads to collapse.
Best pairings: green tea, fruit teas, lemonade, coconut water, mango juice. Also excellent in yoghurt parfaits and dessert applications.
For shop display: keep a small glass jar of the boba visible at the counter — the bright orange-yellow colour is a natural conversation starter and upsell trigger.
