Classic Milk Tea

Ingredients

  • Milk Tea Powder Base — 30g
  • Hot water (85°C) — 120ml
  • Black Tapioca Pearls (cooked) — 80g
  • Ice — to fill
  • Fresh milk or creamer — 60ml (optional)

Method

  1. Brew the base — Dissolve 30g of Milk Tea Powder Base in 120ml hot water. Stir until fully dissolved with no lumps.
  2. Cool it down — Pour over ice to chill the concentrate quickly, or allow to cool to room temperature.
  3. Prepare your pearls — Place cooked tapioca pearls in the bottom of a clear cup.
  4. Build the drink — Fill cup with ice, pour tea concentrate, then top with fresh milk or creamer if desired.
  5. Seal and shake — For a creamy, blended texture, seal and shake 10 times before serving.

Tips

  • For a stronger tea flavour, increase powder to 35g.
  • Brown sugar pearls make a great swap for added depth.
  • Serve immediately — pearls harden after 2 hours at room temperature.
